Who we are

A brief presentation:

Evelyne Grasset's passion for nature and plants was passed down from her grandfather. Her curiosity led her to study medicine, where she met Catherine Gay.

Catherine Gay was brought up in the health sector, both parents working in hospitals. In the 1970s, her mother became interested in reflexology and alternative medicine and passed on her knowledge. Her steps led her to medical school, where she met Evelyne Grasset.

A shared path: After a very rewarding first year of medical school, which enabled them to lay the foundations of how the human body works, they left the faculty and began training as naturopaths-Heilpraktiker, over 4 years of teaching. Since then, they have taken annual continuing education courses to improve and deepen their knowledge.

Training : Heilpraktiker training at the Paracelsus School (Paracelsus Schule) in Bern, then at the CRPS (Collège Romand des Praticiens de Santé) in Lausanne.

He qualified as a Heilpraktiker in 1996 in Saarbrücken (at a school recognized by the German state). Further training in aromatherapy, Bach flowers, gemmotherapy and oligotherapy ....

What is a "Heilpraktiker"? "Heilpraktiker" is the name given to "health practitioners" in Germany.

In Germany, it's a profession in its own right, fully recognized by the state. Heilpraktikers work in perfect harmony with the conventional medical system.

German-born Catherine Gay naturally sought out a German school with a branch in Switzerland, in order to train to the high quality standards demanded by the German health authorities. In fact, in 1996, there was still no Swiss naturopathy diploma.
