Melchior Nadège (Savièse)

Steeped in a very natural approach to health from an early age, with a grandmother who gathered plants to make herbal teas and syrups and a mother who was a great believer in homeopathy, I dreamed of becoming a pharmacist as a child... I wanted to be able to give people around me those little packets of miraculous plants.

I took my Latin-English Maturité at the Lycée-Collège de la Planta in Sion, then studied pharmacy for a year and a half-licence in psychology at the University of Lausanne. At the same time as I was studying psychology, I felt a very strong attraction to techniques for helping people through touch. So I looked for a natural health school and began my four-year training course in naturopathy at the IHMN (Institut d'Hygiène et de Médecine Naturelle). In 2002, I obtained my diploma as a health educator from the IHMN, and in 2004, my naturopath diploma from the same school. At the same time, I trained in Ayurveda, polarity, lymphatic drainage and reflexology.

In April 2002, I set myself a major challenge by opening my own space, the Institut Prana, in Sion, where I happily practice naturopathy and various approaches to massage and body care.

I am recognized and registered with the ASCA and RME professional associations, and therefore reimbursed by the vast majority of health insurance companies with a complementary alternative medicine insurance contract.
