Welcome to the practice for traditional Chinese medicine Sinocare in Dübendorf.

In 2007 the practice was opened at Marktgasse 7 (near Migros) in Dübendorf. The treatment methods of Chinese medicine are very versatile. Mainly we work with acupuncture, Tuina massages and herbal therapies. In addition to these three methods, much can be achieved with cupping, kinesio-taping, Chinese nutrition or simple Qi- Gong exercises.

The practice name "Sinocare" is composed of two words: sino and care. Sino derived from sinology stands for "Chinese studies" and care means, among other things, to care, look after and nurture.

The team consists of qualified, accredited and licensed therapists who have completed their studies in Switzerland and China respectively.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the oldest coherent system of medicine. In the Chinese understanding of man, body, mind and soul form a unity that is part of the universe. From these insights, differentiated techniques of prevention and treatment of diseases have developed. The knowledge of these connections leads to an understanding of healing and therapy that does not cure diseases on the basis of symptoms but recognizes and treats the causes. Acupuncture is a form of treatment in which very thin needles are inserted into acupuncture points located along the meridians. It is used to heal internal organs, eliminate painful or chronic symptoms in the joints, muscles, bones and skin.

Lasering with the 3B Laser Needle - how does it work? Laser Needle Therapy uses "soft" laser beams. This is also referred to as soft laser therapy or low-level laser therapy. Laser Needle treatments are practically imperceptible and yet highly effective. They are not to be confused with surgical lasers, which in contrast have an ablative or destructive effect.

The laser beams travel from the laser diode (in which the laser light is generated) via fiber optic cables to the so-called laser needles. These are not pierced into the skin, but are attached to the skin by means of applicators. From there, the laser beams penetrate painlessly several centimeters into the tissue to be treated.

The gentle laser beams specifically ensure that tissue can renew itself again, that inflammations are reduced and that blood circulation is increased. In addition, pain-relieving messenger substances can be activated, among other things.

The laser beams of the 3B Laser Needle device used are harmless when used as intended. For your own safety, however, laser safety goggles should always be worn.

Chinese medicines, made from plants and minerals, are said to have been used by the Chinese to treat diseases as early as 4000 BC. Over the centuries, the use of these substances has been refined and developed. The mode of action has been established over thousands of years through practical and clinical experience. Today, the effectiveness of these herbal medicines is being researched in laboratories and research centers in both the East and the West. About 2000 out of about 5000 different herbal species are used for the medicines. It is the most important form of treatment in China.

**Tuina is a Chinese massage form and the oldest existing healing method. From the massage form developed, the Tuina therapy performed by doctors. It uses special hand techniques such as pushing, stroking, pressing, rubbing, tapping or clapping. In contrast to the medical massage known to us, the Tuina massage is usually performed through a thin sheet.

Moxibustion is an ancient healing method from traditional Chinese medicine, in which burning mugwort is applied directly or indirectly to the body. This mobilizes certain self-healing powers.

In cupping the acupuncture points are stimulated with cupping glasses. Through heat, a vacuum is produced inside the glass. The glass is then placed on the skin.

**Chinese dietetics (nutrition) is also considered medicine in China and is closely related to traditional Chinese medicine. It is individually tailored to the patient. What is beneficial for one patient may be harmful for another. The nutritional plans for preventive health care as well as for therapy are created so that the entire treatment can be more effective.
