As a medical masseuse EFA I treat people who suffer from the consequences of diseases, accidents and congenital limitations of the musculoskeletal system or whose mobility as well as performance should be improved.

As a medical masseuse EFA I apply classical massage, connective tissue massage and foot reflexology as well as manual lymphatic drainage and cupping. The proven effects of massage on the human body are great. Starting with local increase of blood circulation, lowering of blood pressure and pulse rate, relaxation of muscles, loosening of adhesions and scars, improved wound healing, pain relief, psychological relaxation, reduction of stress up to improvement of cell metabolism in tissues and much more.

Massage in the broadest sense is one of the oldest remedies of mankind. Franz Kirchberg put it this way in his 1926 book "Handbuch der Massage und Heilgymnastik" (Manual of Massage and Therapeutic Gymnastics): "Just as every human being instinctively rubs or presses a swollen and therefore painful or bumped part of his body in an attempt to reduce the pain caused by the tension, so this instinctive means will probably have been used as a remedy throughout the ages."
