The foundation of Thai massage is the Ayurvedic system of 72,000 energy lines, ten of which are worked on during Thai massage. According to Ayurvedic teachings, the human being is supplied with prana (life energy) via these energy lines on which the so-called marma points (energy points) are located.

In the teachings of Thai massage, pressure on certain marma points and energy lines corresponds to the relief of physical ailments.

Pressure point massages stimulate blood circulation, in stretching the muscles can relax.

Twists, flexions and extensions of the spine can be intensified by traction and have a positive effect on physical mobility. The rotation of the joints contributes to physical suppleness.

Positions in which the legs are raised promote blood circulation and lymph flow.

Deep relaxation increases blood flow to the internal organs and stimulates the metabolism.
