Classic massage

Massage is perhaps the oldest remedy. But it is definitely the most "instinctive" thing. You automatically rub the place where you involuntarily made contact with the edge of your desk. The simplest form of massage, namely targeted pressure on the tissue, relieves pain.

The word massage comes from the French masser or Arabic mass (to touch). Massage is also historically defined as mostly manual mechanical action on the body. It also has a far-reaching and general effect on the whole organism. Massage movements are primarily actions to promote blood circulation for the purpose of personal hygiene, disease prevention or disease control. To achieve these goals, massage has various techniques and grips that can be performed or combined depending on the desired effect. Traction and pressure, rhythm, direction or speed of movement can be changed to adapt the treatment individually to the patient's clinical picture, but also to his reactions to the massage stimulus.
